Thomas Morton Hall / Leith Library Wedding Bar July 2016

A personal favourite venue of Reel Time Bars. The venue is a hidden gem in Edinburgh and offers clients great value for money and a blank canvas for their wedding or event. The theatre was first commissioned and gifted to the people of Edinburgh by the council in the 1920’s and first opened in 1932. The building subsequently suffered bomb damage in the 2nd world war and was forced to close in 1941 reopening 20 years later, staying open till 1988 and hosted bands such as ACDC and the Wombles. Of recent years they have opened up its adjoining hall (Thomas Morton Hall) to host weddings and parties to raise money to renovate the theatre.

We were tasked with taking care of the wedding bar facility for the wedding at Thomas Morton Hall. Not only did we provide the full bar set up including lit portable bar units, refrigeration, equipment, ice and glassware, we also took care of the occasional alcohol license which is legally required in order to serve alcohol at the venue.

On this occasion the wedding clients opted for our ‘dry hire’ option where we provide the equipment and expertise and they provide the stock. It’s a great cost effective way to provide complimentary drinks to your guests without breaking the bank.
